DevOps help

Running AWS and want someone to review it, improve it, or help run it. Here is the shape of the work.

Most early teams end up with infrastructure that grew by accident. It works, until the day it does not, and nobody has had time to look at it properly. We look at it properly.

You can hire us three ways: a scoped project with a clear deliverable, a one-off review, or a monthly retainer for ongoing work. Here is what tends to fall into each.

What we can be hired for

Infrastructure review

We go through your account, say what is working, what is fragile, and the three things most worth fixing first. You get a written report you can act on with or without us. Fixed fee, usually about a week.

IaC migration or greenfield

Moving between CloudFormation, Terraform, and Pulumi, or writing the infrastructure-as-code for an account that is configured by hand in the console today. The goal is an account you can reason about and rebuild, not one that lives in one person’s memory.

CI/CD pipelines

From “we deploy by hand” to “every pull request ships behind a flag.” We work with GitHub Actions, Vercel, Netlify, and self-hosted runners, and we keep the pipeline simple enough that the next person can read it.

Cost optimization

Where the AWS bill is bigger than the workload needs. You get a written report on where the money goes, and then, if you want, the changes applied.

Security hardening

IAM review, least-privilege roles, secrets rotation, and a basic posture you can defend. Not a compliance program, a sensible baseline.

Monitoring, alerting, and incident response

CloudWatch, Datadog, or Sentry set up so you find out before your users do, plus on-call playbooks so an incident at 2am is not improvised.

Monthly retainer

A fixed number of hours each month for the ongoing work: the small fixes, the reviews, the next migration step. Good when you want a hand on the infrastructure without hiring for it yet.

Credentials

This is work we have done in production for years, not a service we added last week. We would rather show the work than claim it.

Not what this is

We do not build your actual product under a DevOps engagement. That is a custom build, and we would scope it as one.

We do not run 24/7 pager duty with an uptime guarantee. We set up the alerting and the playbooks; your team holds the pager.

We do not run a managed service for you. When an engagement ends, the account is yours and there is nothing of ours left to remove.
